This was the song that Sarah showed to the group. This is called royalty and it is by Alissa Cruz. This song I liked at first, i thought we could get someone from the school that would match this voice. I then listened to it again and then decided that it would not really fit what we were going for and would be very hard to make a good video out of it. This was because this song was kind of slow and relaxed. This song also did not have a chorus in it, so the whole way through it was the same and We decided that it was kind of relaxed and we wanted something more fast paced.
We eventually decided on a song. This song was called Light pollution and to was by MAK. This song is made by a band so our first thoughts were that it would be really useful for a music video as there were other people playing other instruments that we could get. We thought that the song would be very effective for our music video. This is because the song had more energy than the other songs we chose so we could do a lot with it. The band that were in the video would be easy to cast as the people in the video are very young so we could get A1's to be in the band. The song had a chorus to it as well which was very useful and the we though it had a lot of character to it and something we could sell with a music campaign. so we ultimately decided that this was the song that we wanted to go for. This is very useful to our music video as we have to make sure that we choose the perfect song that we could make a unique video with and that has a character that we can portray in the song.
Hi Gite,
ReplyDeletePleased to see your group have settled on a track and start casting, once this is complete you can move on with the next steps. Great effort on the blog this week. One tip I would give you is to try and focus more on analysis, rather than just describing what you have done. A good format for blog posts is
What have I done (this should be a short section maybe three sentences, you will mostly demonstrate this with photos, screengrabs, videos etc that show what you have done)
What I found out (this is the longest section and this should be a forensic analysis and explanation of your findings from the research - maybe 8-10 sentences might be typical, but it is OK to use bullet points as well, for example when listing the conventions you have identified from the genre research task. This section should also include images)
Final section is about how this research impacts on the planning for your own production, maybe 3-4 sentences.
See me for a tutorial if you are unsure what is required. Good luck
