The Final Music Video

This is the final Edited Music Video of the song peach. This music video was filmed in the band room and the studio with a fridge. It is the performance shot mixed with multiple shots that we filmed of the fridge with him messing around with the items In the fridge. 

 

Editing 2

 The second part of my editing process was putting all of the shots of the fridge and putting them in the video. 

I Integrated a lot of the peach action in the video that fit well. I did end up removing all of the blender shots because they did not fit well as there was no end result like something being made with the blender. A lot of the shots I liked was the shots of the ketchup which was quite funny. I also liked the close up of him eating tin peaches and put that one in the video as well. I had two shots of him drinking juice put in the video. I also used a shot of him putting eggs away. I didn't et the shot of him blowing bubbles . I got two shots of him biting into a peach. The ending of the music video was really good I think. It showed him saying his last line and then closing the fridge. In the performance cut he kissed the camera and I had to decide which one was better and I chose the fridge.

Band Tour

 I made a poster for the tour of the band showing the dates and the locations of different concerts around England. 

I took insparation from an actual tour poster.

I looked at this one and really liked the color and the design and placement of the poster. The image was really good of the whole band. 

This is the tour image I created. I got one of the images of the whole band together that looked good. I used a green colour because I thought it fit the style of the band more and wrote everything on the top and the right side of it.

Merchandise 2

 I created some more merchandise. I made two more pieces and then stopped. 

This is a black shirt. I coloured  the midnight's peoples band name bleu before placing it onto the shirt. I felt that It fit what I was going for for this specific shirt. I also placed a picture of a moon right above the band name. I did this because it fits the name midnight's people with a full moon on the top. It also fits the color of the shirt with it being black and the idea of night, so I got a moon and a blue band name.

The final piece of merchandise I created was a white hoodie. The white hoodie I created included the band  name and a picture of an apple. I coloured the band name red and placed it on the hoodie. I then got an image of  a drawing of an apple and placed it on the hoodie which I felt fits the bland white hoodie with no colour and Red is vibrant and really noticeable.

MERCHANDISE 1

 These were the first piece of merchandise I created. I created these as an option to be put on the social media campaign if needed. I got the logo and put it on different pieces of clothing such as a white shirt and a hoodie. 

This was the first item I created. I got a white shirt and simply got the font that was on the digi pak front cover and put it on this white shirt and as addition I added a little cloud on top of the name of the band. I liked the color of the name of the band. The cloud was to add to that happy type of feeling I wanted on the clothing as similar to the different clothing, this was basic, just the logo of the band put on a shirt.

This was the second piece of merchandise I created. This is a black hoodie with the name of the band on the bag, the same as the white shirt. I also put a sun on the back of the hoodie. This was because the hoodie was black and I wanted to put an image on It that would make more bright and happy and a sun was something that I thought was good.

This was very similar to the white shirt apart from the fact it is on the jumper. The blue jumper just has the name on the front. 

I decided to go for a hat for my next piece of clothing. Since the hat I chose was green I got a pink version of the midngiht's people title from the digi pak and placed it onto this hat. The colour pink mixed with green really fits the feel of the band. It looks quite bright and vibrant. 

This is all I made on the first day of creating merchandise, I made some more the next day and then stopped. 

Digi Pak and Social Media

 We looked at the digi pak that Ben started making and tried to come up with some Ideas. I had finished my editing by then and then we decided on what I would do for the social media campaign. We looked at the panel for the digi pak that ben created. 

This is the first panel that ben created on Monday. He put a nice font of the band name on the front with some sunflower images in the corner and some clouds. I made a suggestion that maybe some pink doodles could be added around the background. The whole idea of the panel he made was good and fits the style the band is.

We decided On what I would do. We decided that I would create some merchandise. The merchandise would be the name of the band with the same font as the digi pak put on a lot of different pieces clothing.

I looked at different Indie Pop  merchandise to see how it was done. 

I searched up images of indie pop merchnadise and these were some of the results that came up. A lot of it had the name of the band in a bright color pasted on the shirt. 

Editing 1

 My first two days of editing was about first getting all of the band shots and putting them together to first create the performance cut with just the band playing their instruments. Our performance cut was in a band room. The shots were good. I had to get all of the band members some screen time and I did this by grouping some of the shots together. For example I got a close up of the drummers face, then a wide shot of the drums and then put in a close up on his hands with the drum stick. I had many shots to work with in this edit with shots of each band member and a whole video of the entire band. This started off quite slow but I got a lot faster at editing the shots together. Something that really looked good in my performance cut was the close up with the fish eye lens which really made the video look unique.

Evaluation of The Shoot day

 The shoot day was successful and we did manage to get all of the shots that we needed in order to edited together our music video. 

The day before the shoot day we set up the band room. I brought in all of my props that were needed for the fridge content. I also went and got the keys to open the band room. We moved everything that was not needed into the draws in the room or we placed them outside. We kept everything that was needed in the room such as the drums and the amp. Ben and Daisy went outside and put the purple sheet on the window so nothing outside could be seen for the music video. We then placed the lights all around the band room for the music video. 

    We were all well prepared for the shoot as we had all brought in all of the props that we needed. I brought in, egg flower, a wisk, bubbles and a wooden spoon. This was for the fridge that we were using as we wanted shots of Luke messing around with the things in the fridge and eating them. So we all brought in items for the fridge. The band room was also ready to be filmed in as we had set it up the previous day so nothing really needed to be set up apart from bringing in the instruments like the guitars.

The studio was good and had everything we needed for the music video shoot. There was a lighting rig behind to light up the fridge and to make it dark so we could film. We had the camera for filming. We set up the bridge by brining in this big white cardboard box that looked like a fridge with no doors. The door was separate so we had to screw it onto the fridge. One of the sides was still open and did not have a door because that was where we wanted to have the camera so we could get shots of his face inside the fridge. We placed trays in the fridge so we could place down the fridge items. 

Our each individual roles was that Georgia and Daisy were the directors telling Luke what to do in the fridge. Ben was with the camera and filming all of the shots. I did the lighting, so whenever we started to film, I would need to turn on the light for the fridge. I think I did that role quite well being right on time when opening the fridge. I also had to turn on the lights in the studio whenever we cut and turn off the lights whenever we were about to film. For the band room Ben, Georgia and Daisy did some camera work and I looked at the recording. At times I would go into the band room.

I think the most successful part of the shoot was getting the fridge shots. This was because it was the main part of the song where it shows someone eating the things in the fridge and him eating peaches. With peach the name of our song I thought that the fridge content was the main part and we executed that very well and We did not go over the time we set for it.  For something I think we could have done more with, was the band shot and I think we could have got a little bit more of some shot of the different band members but other than that I think it all went very well.

I think the actors did well in the shoot and were very motivated to film during the day. Georgia and Daisy were directing them and and told them to have a lot of energy throughout the shoot and I think that was very successful.

I enjoyed both segments of the shoot with the band room and the fridge content. I think it went well and We got all of the shots needed and it was quite fun. The fridge content was fun to see how he would use all of the things in the fridge and how we would get shots of him doing it. The band room was good to see all of the band doing their performance cut.

I looked forward to the editing of the fridge content a lot when I was editing because It was interesting to see all of the unique little shots in the fridge of him eating peaches and ketchup and messing around with all of the items. I looked at all of them they were really good shots and I wanted to see where I would put those extra shots and How many I could get in because they were all really good.

Overall the Shoot day was successful and We got all of the content that We needed. All of the social Media and Digi Pak Ideas would match the type of style and genre we had in the music video and the overall album campaign we are creating. When Starting to edit the shots, I thought that all of the shots looked good showing that It was a successful day shooting the music video
